International students with D-2 visas (study abroad) must get an S-3 visa (part-time employment permission) issued in order to have part-time jobs in Korea. Students wishing to have part-time jobs in Korea may apply for an S-3 visa (part-time jobs) by following the instructions below. Students who work part-time illegally without the appropriate visa will be fined or asked to leave the country if the matter becomes serious.

- Business registration certificate from the business where you are hoping to work

Restrictions
Number of Work Hours Permitted
- Undergraduates: 20 hours per week
- Master's and doctoral students: 30 hours per week
- Students preparing for their thesis after completion of graduate coursework: 30 hours per week
- ※ Work hours are not limited during the semester or holidays and during vacation except for the above requirements
Allowable Work Period and Number of Places of Employment
- How to manage work and studies: limit yourself to two places of business for one (1) years maximum within the length of your stay.
Types of Work Permitted
- Interpreters, translators, assistant in food industry and general office work
- Store sales, restaurant employee, or event assistant agent for English villages or English camps
- ※ Language camps such as Chinese-speaking or Japanese-speaking camps are applicable
- Tour guide assistant or assistant agent in duty-free stores
You must notify the Busan Immigration Office
within 14 days if you move to a different workplace due to a change of your employer
