Foreign Language Test Exemption Application
1. 신청기간 : 2026. 3. 16.(월), 17:00까지 (기한 엄수, 기간 이후 신청 불가)
2. 학위논문 제출 자격시험(외국어시험) 과목
1) 영어
2) 한국어 (한국학 전공 학생만 신청 가능)
3. 응시 자격
1) 외국어 시험(영어 또는 한국어)은 취득 학점과 관계없이 응시 가능함
2) 외국어 시험 면제에 관해서는 아래의 내용을 참조
4. 신청 방법: 신청서(첨부파일) 및 증빙서류 제출
※ 방문 또는 우편 접수만 가능 (수신 오류 등의 문제로 이메일 제출 불가)
5. 제출 서류
① 학위논문 제출 자격시험 면제신청서
② 증빙서류 (아래 중 1개 제출)
1) 외국어 공인인증시험 성적표
- 해당과정 입학 후 취득한 성적에 한함
- 유효기간 내의 성적만 인정
2) 영어 및 한국어 시험 대체강좌
- 언어교육원 웹사이트에서 조회
- 대체강좌 'PASS'화면 캡처본 제출
3) 여권 사본
4) 학위증명서 사본

6. 면제 신청 결과 조회 (2026. 4. 6.(월) 예정)
- 학생지원시스템(onestop.pusan.ac.kr) → [졸업] → [학위논문제출자격시험] → [외국어시험합격조회/종합시험 합격조회]
7. 안내사항
1) 자체 영어시험은 시행되지 않으므로 반드시 면제 신청을 해야 함
2) 영어/한국어 어학 성적은 해당 과정 입학 후 취득한 성적이어야 하며, 유효기간 내 성적만 인정함
3) 신청은 방문 또는 우편 접수만 가능하며, 이메일 제출은 불가함
4) 우편 접수 시에는 접수 완료 여부를 반드시 전화로 확인해야 함
5) 대리 접수로 인한 누락 사항에 대해서는 응시자 본인에게 책임이 있음
6) 응시원서는 반드시 원본을 제출해야 함

2. Foreign Language Test Subject
1) English Test
2) Korean Test (Only Korean Studies(한국학전공) students can select Korean language test)
3. Eligibility: The foreign language examination (English or Korean) may be taken regardless of the number of credits earned.
4. How to Apply: Submit the application form (attached) along with the required supporting documents.
※ Applications must be submitted either in person or by post. (Email submissions are not accepted.)
5. Required Documents
① Application Form for exemption from foreign language test
② Supporting documents (Submit one of the following):
1) Official foreign language proficiency test score report
- The score must have been obtained after admission to the relevant program.
- The score must be valid at the time of application.
2) Alternative English/Korean courses
- Submit a screenshot showing a “PASS” status for the alternative course
- The screenshot must be obtained from the PNU Language Education Institute website.
3) Copy of Passport

6. How to Check the Exemption Application Result (2026. 4. 6.(Mon) 14:00 Scheduled)
- Visit [onestop.pusan.ac.kr] → Click [졸업(Graduation)] → Click 학위논문제출자격시험(Qualifying examination)→ Click [외국어시험합격조회(Inquire about Foreign Language Proficiency Test] and [종합시험합격조회(Inquire about Qualifying Examination)]
7. Notes
1) The in-house English test is not administered; therefore, submission of an exemption application is mandatory.
2) English/Korean language test scores must have been obtained after admission to the relevant program, and the scores must be valid at the time of application.
3) Applications may be submitted only in person or by post. Email submissions are not accepted.
4) If submitted by post, applicants must contact the GSIS Office by phone to confirm receipt.
5) In the case of proxy submission, the applicant is fully responsible for any omissions or incomplete information.
6) The original copy of the application form must be submitted.
