Testing insulation/composite for storage/supply of liquid hydrogen environment

  - Identify ultra-low temperature characteristics of non-metallic materials for the development and selection of insulation for liquefied hydrogen environments

  - Evaluate the safety of valves operated in a liquid hydrogen environment in an ultra-low temperature environment
  - Evaluate the cracking and fracture behavior of composite in ultra-low temperature environments

  • Test items (Utilization plan)

  - Evaluation of static/dynamic performance under room temperature and ultra-low temperature (-253℃) environment
  - Tensile/compression/bending/shear/fatigue/impact test, etc.
  - Thermal cyclic, Immersion test, etc. under ultra-low temperature environments
