1. Income-Linked Scholarship Programs
PNU's scholarship guidelines include basic livelihood recipients, graduate students in financial distress.
Criteria are updated based on living costs and health insurance standards.
Students in the bottom 20% of household income can access income-linked scholarships such as living support,
UNI-WEL Scholarships, and work-study options.
2. Korea Student Aid Foundation’s Student Loan Program
To ease tuition costs, PNU engages with the Korea Student Aid Foundation, offering both the “Study-Now-Pay-
Later” and the “General Student Loan.”. In 2023, their interest rate was 1.7%.
3. The “Blue Ladder” Program
PNU was part of the “2023 Blue Ladder Program,” supported by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Student Aid Foundation.
It provided overseas study opportunities for economically vulnerable students to develop global skills.
Beneficiaries receive support of 5 million Korean won (about 360 USD) for tuition, airfare, and accommodation.
