Pusan National University(PNU) supports prospective and current local entrepreneurs to promote sustainable business
startups by hosting events, operating an incubator program, and providing creative spaces.
1. PNU’s Startup Support Center offers resources like space and equipment to startups, prioritizing companies
that demonstrate environmental and social responsibility.
It excludes polluting industries from recruitment criteria and aims to build a sustainable community.
For example, Code of Nature Co., one of the resident companies works on environmental restoration,
while Ilsin Farm Co. develops a water-efficient hydroponic system.
2. The “2023 E-Startup Mecca Festival” featured events like ESG concert, the Youth Open Innovation Challenge,
aimed at discovering innovative ideas from young entrepreneurs and involving domestic companies like Korea Southern Power.
Competitions focused on energy startups emphasized eco-friendliness and carbon neutrality.
3. V-SPACE, located in the Mechanical Engineering Building of PNU, provides free space for idea generation and prototype creation.
Access to the space and equipment is granted to those who complete V-SPACE training.
