PNU(Pusan National University) promotes financially and socially sustainable startups through various initiatives:
1. PNU hosted a startup idea competition for students and health care professionals interested in digital healthcare,
providing a financial award to the winners.
The competition focused on themes like digital medicine, age-friendly technologies and dementia support,
aiming to improve community medical access and foster sustainable startups that enhance health and well-being.
2. PNU ran a startup idea competition to support young entrepreneurs in the region.
Open to all students including graduates, the competition encourages solutions to local issues.
Winning teams received a cash prize, practical startup training, and mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs.
3. Through the "2023 Startup-Centric University" project, PNU provided commercialization funding to prospective
entrepreneurs and early-stage startups with strong technology and business models but lacking financial resources.
