Pusan National University's(PNU) College of Natural Resources and Life Science trains professionals for the growing life science

and resource industries, playing a leading role in developing life resources and researching biomaterials and environmental ecology. 

The college boasts a robust research infrastructure, including the nation’s first internationally certified laboratory animal center,

LMO research facilities, advanced greenhouses, affiliated farms, and academic forests. 

It also hosts annual events to share agricultural information and technology with local producers.

1. One key event, the "Hyowon Green Farm Festival," invites local farmers and agricultural institutions to explore the

   agricultural bio-industry and its research technologies. 

   Now in its 13th year, the 2023 festival focused on "Green Farm in Collaboration with the Community," showcasing PNU's research

   in horticultural life sciences, agricultural products from the Miryang region, seed production, and smart farm innovations.

2. PNU contributes to addressing rural labor shortages through the "Firefly" volunteer club, comprising 30 Nanoscience and

   Nanotechnology students who assist local farms during harvest.

3. The affiliated farm utilizes specialized agricultural technologies tailored to local characteristics, 

   offering various experiential activities for citizens and producers. 

   In particular, the farm experience class, held twice a year, provides participants with opportunities to engage in rice planting

   and harvesting while enhancing their interest in agriculture through hands-on experiences.
