[2.2.1.] Campus food waste tracking 2024
Measure the amount of food waste generated from food served within the university
Pusan National University(PNU) develops annual plans to reduce and manage food waste in compliance with the Waste Management Act. In accordance with Article 38 (the report is submitted), PNU measures and records the total amount of food waste generated and processed on campus, prepares a performance report, and submits it to the local district office. PNU implements reduction measures―such as limiting the frequency of bone-in meat menus and running leftover-reduction campaigns―and ensures campus food waste is handled and recycled in an environmentally responsible manner through contracts with licensed waste disposal companies.
