Pusan National University(PNU) strictly complies with the Minimum Wage Act of Korea to enhance employee financial welfare.
In accordeance with Article 11 of the Act, which requires the announcement of the minimum wage,
PNU communicated the 2023 legal minimum wage, as determined by the Ministry of Employment and Labor,
to all faculty and staff to protect their wage rights.
Furthermore, PNU adheres to the Public Officials Remuneration Regulations, Employee Wage Agreements,
and Collective Employment Agreements, ensuring that all campus personnel, including public officials
and university contract employees, receive salaries above the statutory minimum wage.
In 2023, PNU allocated a minimum annual salary of 35,487,000 KRW (25,747 USD) for public officials
and 33,294,000 KRW (23,943 USD) for contract employees,
both of which exceed the minimum wage-derived annual figure of 24,126,960 KRW (17,352 USD).
