1. In implementing the 2023 collective agreements with the labor union,
Pusan National University(PNU) established provisions to prevent workplace discrimination, ensuring equal treatment
for all employees.
Key points include:
- Article 4 of the 2023 Collective Agreement for University Contract Employees:
The university shall not engage in discriminatory practices in employment conditions based on gender, marital status,
nationality, religion, or social status.
- Article 4 of the 2023 Collective Agreement for Research and Business Development Foundation Employees:
The foundation shall not engage in discriminatory employment practices based on gender, marital status, nationality,
religion, social status, or type of employment.
2. PNU’s employment rules submitted to the Employment and Labor Office encompass provisions for the prevention of
workplace harassment. PNU conducts annual training sessions to prevent harassment related to workplace discrimination.
3. According to the "Regulations of the PNU Human Rights Center,", any action that disadvantages individuals in employment
due to sexual or gender differences is classified as "sexual harassment."
The Human Rights Center offers counseling and maintains an investigation committee to support victims impartially.
The center revised these regulations in 2021 to improve victim support, and the regulations have been in effect.
