1. Pusan National University(PNU) complies with the Labor Standards Act of Korea (revised 2021 and 2024) to uphold
essential living standards for all employees.
It enforces Article 7(Prohibition of Forced Labor) and Article 9(Elimination of Intermediary Exploitation), to combat
forced labor and human trafficking.
Additionally, PNU adheres to Article 67(Labor Contracts) and Article 70(Restrictions on Night and Holiday Work),
to prevent the exploitation of minors and women.
2. PNU extends its labor exploitation regulations to outsourced labor contracts, ensuring that contracted companies treat workers fairly.
The 2023 outsourced labor contracts for security and parking management include clauses that guarantee employee wages
and stipulate that non-compliance may lead to contract termination.
3. PNU's employment rules and collective agreements specify working hours and provisions for overtime.
The 2023 employment rules, submitted to the Busan Employment and Labor Office, establish work hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
They detail break times and compensation for overtime and night work in accordance with the Labor Standards Act.
The agreement for cleaning service workers prohibits demanding holiday or extended work without union consultation
and requires increased compensation for such work.
4. PNU employs labor attorneys in the personnel teams of the General Affairs Office and the Research and Business
