[8.2.5.] Employment practice equivalent rights outsourcing 2024
Have a policy on guaranteeing equivalent rights of workers when outsourcing activities to third parties
1. Pusan National University(PNU) complies with the Korea Ministry of Employment and Labor’s 2024 Wage System for Subcontract Workers in the Public Sector and has communicated this policy campuswide to protect outsourced workers’ right to fair wages.

2. The contract terms for campus construction and service agreements require appropriate wages and safe working conditions for outsourced workers. In 2024 PNU’s contract for security guard and parking management services prohibited the service provider from arbitrarily reducing wages, while the 2024 contract for pedestrian path improvement construction mandates the application of market wage rates and the implementation of safety measures.

3. PNU’s 2024 Safety and Health Management Plan sets the x-x-objective of preventing injuries to faculty, staff, and outsourced workers and requires the establishment of safety and health standards for service and outsourced personnel.

4. PNU hosted a “Safety Video Contest for Preventing Accidents Involving Foreign Workers” in partnership with organizations, including the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, to promote safer working environments for foreign service workers.
