[8.2.8.] Employment practice appeal process
Have a process for employees to appeal on employee rights and/or pay
Pusan National Univrsity(PNU) provides various systems for employees to report workplace rights violations, submit opinions, and file x-x-objections.
1. The Human Rights Center at PNU operates a Counseling Office where employees can seek assistance for human rights violations or grievances. It also has an Investigation and Deliberation Committee to address reports of rights violations. Procedures for reporting and seeking counseling are outlined in the “Human Rights Center Regulations” and are accessible on the university website.

2. Faculty and staff performance-based pay is determined by the Compensation Review Committee in accordance with the “National Public Officials Act” and the “Wage Agreement.” Employees who are dissatisfied with their performance bonus grades can file appeals, which are handled transparently. The 2024 “PNU Employee Performance Bonus Payment Plan” mandates immediate disclosure of bonus grades, allowing employees to submit appeal forms for re-evaluation.

3. The 2024 “Collective Agreement for University Contract Staff” establishes a Grievance Committee to address workplace issues such as sexual harassment. Article 25 allows employees to express opinions on personnel appointments. To support this, PNU operates a Grievance Review Committee and conducted on-site personnel consultations in preparation for the 2024 regular personnel appointments.
