[8.2.9.] Employment practice labour rights 2024
Recognise labour rights(freedom of association and collective bargaining) for all, including women and international staff
1. Articles 5 of the 2024 PNU Collective Agreement for Contract Staff affirm that all university employees have the right to join labor unions. Chapters 11 to 13 outlines essential labor rights, including collective bargaining, the formation of labor-management councils, and the rights to engage in labor disputes. Accordingly, all employees, including women and foreigners, are guaranteed freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, allowing them to express opinions on wages and working hours. In accordance with the collective agreement, university contract employees conducted a wage agreement in 2024, establishing wage standards.

2. The rights to collective bargaining and labor disputes are also explicitly protected in the collective agreements of the Korean Non-Regular Professors' Labor Union and the Research and Business Development Foundation’s Labor Union.
