The university-operated dormitories, Hyowonjae and Jilli Hall, are essential to Pusan National University(PNU)'s residential
life program, priced significantly lower than nearby apartments.
The average monthly rent for a studio near the university ranges from 300,000 to 400,000 KRW (200-300 USD),
whereas the monthly management fee for PNU dormitories is approximately 150,000 KRW (109 USD).
To assist low-income students in maintaining focus on their studies in a conducive environment,
PNU has established the "Happy Home Support Program," which fully funds dormitory fees for eligible low-income students.
