Pusan National University(PNU) is committed to improving pedestrian safety on campus through enhanced
environments and institutional measures.
1. PNU has established the "Mirimaru" walking path, which is open to all pedestrians and prioritizes safety.
Regular maintenance, including upkeep of wooden decks and nighttime lightning, is conducted to ensure user safety,
allowing both university members and visitors to enjoy safe walks near Mirinae Valley.
2. PNU maintained various traffic safety installations to enhance pedestrian safety and mitigate traffic accidents.
Also, A grace period was enacted for enforcing regulations against illegal speeding to raise awareness about pedestrian safety
among vehicle users.
3. Following discussions at the 3rd Traffic Management Committee in 2023, PNU revised its Traffic Management Regulations
to strengthen penalties for speeding violations.
4. In response to the rise in personal mobility device usage, PNU has distributed safety guidelines and provided online courses
on mobility safety.
5. Additionally, PNU operates a safety patrol to ensure safe walking during nighttime hours.
