PNU repurposes previously developed sites and underutilized spaces for sustainable construction of educational
and research facilities.
1. The Advanced Science Hall was reconstructed on the former College of Pharmacy site,
fostering collaboration among the Department of Biological Sciences, Department of Microbiology, and Department of
Molecular Biology, with modern laboratories and classrooms equipped with advanced technology.
2. The Kyung-am Engineering Hall was constructed on idle land adjacent to the Yangsang Campus student residence,
providing classrooms for the College of Information and Biomedical Engineering, along with PBL rooms, laboratories,
and research spaces for both undergraduate and graduate students.
3. PNU has initiated the development of "niche learning spaces" by renovating unused areas.
In 2023, an outdated space in the construction building was transformed into "Academia," a research area for
graduate students and instructors. Additionally, the first-floor lobby of the former Natural Resources and Life Science
building was converted into a startup lounge, and a niche learning space was established in the student hall for student use
during waiting times or discussions.
