undertake actions to promote mores sustainable commuting

1. Pusan National Universtiy(PNU) operates intercampus shuttle services (including Busan-Yangsan and Busan-Miryang) to support economical, low carbon commuting. In 2024 the university reorganized the Busan-Miryang shuttle system-adding vehicles and introducing a reservation system-to improve utilization and convenience. 

Commuter buses for faculty and staff are also provided; schedules and operational details are posted on the university website under “Transportation Management.”

2. To accommodate expanding transport options such as shared mobility and electric vehicles, PNU is increasing dedicated parking for shared mobility vehicles and EVs and installing additional EV chargers. In 2024 PNU ran a shared mobility safety campaign and distributed an EV charging manual to promote safe, sustained use.

3. During peak holiday travel, PNU operated a “Hangawi (Korean Thanksgiving Day) Homecoming Bus” to encourage the use of charter buses over private cars or air travel, thereby reducing congestion and carbon emissions.
