Pusan National University(PNU) promotes sustainable development through responsible production and consumption
via a mandatory green product purchase system, a preferential system for social enterprises, and the use of local currency (Onnuri gift certificates).
1. Mandatory Green Product Purchase System:
This system mandates purchasing products that reduce environmental impact and social costs throughout their lifecycle.
By encouraging the procurement of eco-friendly products, PNU participates in preventing resource waste and pollution.

2. Preferential System for Social Enterprises:
PNU supports women-owned, disabled, and social enterprises in public procurement, following national regulations.
This includes awarding bidding points and increasing contracts, reinforcing the university's social responsibility.
A preferential purchasing system for goods made by individuals with severe disabilities also provides job opportunities, aiding their self-reliance.
3. Encouraging Onnuri Gift Certificates:
PNU urges faculty and staff to use Onnuri gift certificates, a local currency aimed at boosting the local economy and small
businesses, especially for purchasing agricultural products at traditional markets.
Partial rewards in Onnuri gift certificates for welfare benefits further promote spending in these markets, revitalizing the local economy.
