[12.3.1.] Waste tracking 2024
1. PNU measures all waste generated on campus annually, including recycling volumes, in accordance with the Waste Management Act and its enforcement regulations. This data is transparently reported through the “Allbaro System,” an online platform operated by the Korea Ministry of Environment that manages waste disposal, transportation, and volume reporting.

2. In 2024, PNU established the “Environmental Maintenance Plan for the Start of the Semester” and conducted comprehensive inspections around campus buildings to detect and prevent illegal waste dumping. These efforts have enhanced the campus waste management systems and monitoring capabilities.

3. Additionally, PNU has contracted specialized waste management companies that prioritize recycling. Through these partnerships, PNU aims to reduce the amount of waste incinerated and landfilled, promoting environmentally responsible waste treatment.
