지난 3월 2일부터 8일까지 제주특별자치도 제주시(클로스터호텔 제주: GLOUCESTER HOTELS & RESORTS)에서 화산특화연구센터(Volcano Specialized Research Center: VSRC) 주관으로 제7차 아시아화산컨소시엄 제7차 필드캠프(Asian Consortium of Volcanology(ACV) 7th Field Camp, 2025)를 유치하여 개최하였다. 3일 Lecture를 통하여 화산학적 지식을 습득하고, 4일~7일까지 제주도의 지질에 대한 필드답사를 하였다. 아시아지역 8개국을 포함하여 미국, 영국, 프랑스 등 11개국에서 52명의 화산학(화산모니터링, 화산물리, 화산지질 등)을 연구하는 젊은 연구자와 대학원생들이 참석하였다.
8일 각자 나라로 귀국한 후 아래와 같은 격려 및 소감 문자를 보내주었습니다.

It’s an honour to meet you all and was a great time to catch up with colleagues and friends and to explore Jeju for the most spectacular columnar joints I have ever seen!
