Salary: $30,000 - $38,000 a year (negotiable depending on the experience)

Job description:
Computational Fluid Dynamics and Machine Learning Specialists are involved in the fundamental research of simulating turbulent flow and reconstructing the flow structure inside the channel and/or bluff bodies.
Ph.D. in mechanical/aerospace engineering, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated background and experience in the development of machine learning algorithms and software (in TensorFlow, PyTorch, Julia, etc.) for surrogate-assisted modeling and design optimization, CFD, management and analysis of big data, and parallel scientific computing is required.
Job functions include:
Work within the group of fluid dynamics to compute, evaluate, and optimize the turbulent flow based on the CFD.
Big-data manipulation by using the Matlab, Fortran, and C/C++ languages, and closely related softwares.
Build-up on existing research to further understand the benefits and limitations of machine learning for enhancing CFD analyses (e.g., OpenFOAM, and in-house code).
Understand the physics of turbulent channel flow, and the bluff body aerodynamics. Prefer to possess the expertise in the development and application of machine learning tools in one or more of these areas.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Msc/PhD degree in Fluids or Mechanical Engineering or other closely related field.
Collaborative skills, including the ability to work well with other divisions, laboratories, and universities.
Prior experience with OpenFOAM and/or TensorFlow, both would be beneficial.

Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing
