The Department of Plastic Arts aims to generate talents with a professional level of capability through creative and unique plastic arts education, who are rooted in our traditional values yet can thrive in the rapidly-changing society of today.
The department encourages students to acquire the skills and theoretical knowledge demanded of artists and experts through artistic experience in both traditional and modern plastic arts.
The department has three majors, including Ceramic Art, Fiber &Metal Art, and Furniture &Wood Working, and a graduate program. Students develop creative and unique ways of expression through systematic theoretical education, experiments, and practice by subject, and gain an artistic sensibility that is in tune with the needs of the time.
