In December 1972, the Ministry of Education, formerMinistry of Education, Science and Technology, approved establishmentof the Department of Physical Education.
The department was establishedin 1973 with an admission quota of 40. Since 1977, the department hasgenerated over 1,000 graduates, who are serving as middle and highschool teachers in the Busan, Gyeongsangnam-do, Gyeonggi-do, andIncheon areas, and professors at diverse universities.
