Educational Technology & Global Education Cooperation Major
Introduction
ET major prepares practitioners and researchers to design the quality of instructional and learning environment, to effectively disseminate innovative strategies to improve educational practice, and to ensure total quality of education in general. Thus, the purposes of ET major are:
First, prospective educational practitioners undertake various worthy activities including instructional design, instructional media production (e.g., Web-based instruction, multimedia systems design) and utilization of advanced technologies appropriate to any learning situations. In addition, students involve in learning activities, in which they profoundly understand instructional and learning theories reflecting actual problem situations in order to design learning support system effectively, efficiently, appearing, and safely. The activities encompass multimedia, Internet, educational broadcast, virtual education, several kinds of state-of-the-art instructional media technologies, and instructional design theories.
Second, based upon disciplined inquiry both in research and practice, students progressively develop their competences for the improvement of educational outcomes. Moreover, student equips not only systemic understanding on complex problem situation but also, innovation diffusion & adoption strategies and organizational management and operations. Finally, students are able to analyze educational problem domains with refined perspective cultivated by the worldview inherent in the "Instructional Systems Technology" field and suggest tentative solutions for the problems, and elaborating the solutions.
