Oral Biochemistry
The Department of Oral Biochemistry and Molecular Biology covers topics including the chemical structure, function and metabolism of DNA, proteins, carbohydrates and lipids. Through the coursework, dental students can be equipped with biochemical knowledge to explain the underlying causes of various diseases. In addition, our lecture includes the chemical composition, physicochemical properties, and metabolic processes of soft and hard tissues in the oral and maxillofacial region, saliva and acquired enamel integuments, etc.
