Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery deals with a special field of clinical dentistry that involves extractions, adjunctive surgical reconstruction in advance of prosthetic treatment, and placement of dental implants. Our faculty are also trained to treat trauma, temporomandibular joint diseases, congenital and acquired defects and deformities, and cancers of the head and neck region and eventually to enhance the function and appearance of patients with such conditions. We focus on providing clinical training in prevention, routine diagnosis and multidisciplinary treatment or management of diseases, disorders and defects of the face and jaws. Furthermore, our curriculum includes traumatology, implantology, dorology, salivary gland surgery, and pathology.
