Oral Anatomy
The Department of Oral Anatomy provides integrated educational courses for human anatomy, histology, embryology, and dental morphology. Oral Anatomy is an applied basic science to study the relationship between the structure and function of the human body for better understanding of basic and clinical dental sciences. We also instruct and supervise students in anatomy(dissection) and histology(microscopy) lab. Cadaveric training gives an extraordinary opportunity to reflect upon the sanctity and dignity of human life as well as medical ethics in the greatest gratitude for the sublime wishes of donor and their families. Research areas in this department include the induced apoptosis of oral cancer, plasma medicine, and applied clinical anatomy in the oral and maxillofacial region.
