Credits per semester
no more than maximum 10 credits per semester can be acquired.
Limitation of duplicate credit
- The completed course can not be re-taken for duplicate credit. If re-taken, the credit will be invalid
- The courses completed in the Master’s course can not be re-taken towards the doctoral degree (except research credits).
Graduation credits
- graduation credits: at least 24 credits
- major course including mandatory and elective course: more than 18 credits
- research credits: 6 credits
Master’s degree program
- graduation credits: at least 36 credits
- major course including mandatory and elective course: more than 27 credits
- research credits: 9 credits
Doctoral degree program
- graduation credits: at least 60 credits
- major course including mandatory and elective course: more than 48 credits
- research credits: 12 credits
Integrated master’s and doctoral degree program
Enrollment requirements of specialized course offered in the graduate school
- Name of the course: Research ethics and Research management (RD73601) - This is a mandatory course to enroll. If not enrolled, enrollment for research credits will be on hold.
- Number of classes and method of evaluation: 3 hours per day, lectures available online, pass or fail (no letter grade will be given), requirements for graduation
- Schedule: class enrollment available at the start of each semester (March and September), see attachment for further instruction (100% class attendance required)
Degree Qualifying Examination
- Foreign Language Examinations : It will be conducted twice a year (March and September) or can be substituted by official standardized English language test score (above 800 points of TOEIC)
- Comprehensive qualifying examination (CQE): Available only after the completion of more than 1/2 of graduation credits (after 3rd semester of the program)
- Master’s program: choose 3 completed courses of which CQE will be based upon
- Doctoral program: choose 4 completed courses of which CQE will be based upon
