Research Interests
Bioenergy and biorefinery technology have been spotlighted because the sustainable and environmental friendly bioprocess could replace the conventional fossil fuel based refinery system. The mission in BBE (Bioenergy & Bioprocess Engineering) Laboratory is to develop bioprocess for electricity, biogas and chemical production from various biomass using biotechnology, metabolic engineering and bioelectrochemcial systems. The novel biofilm technology for bioprocess, regulation of metabolism and useful resource recovery is an important research topic in BBE lab.
