- Comprehensive exams
- Selection of PhD advisory committee (The committee for the dissertation must be organized prior to PhD proposal presentation and students can request for organizing committee members as early as possible.)
- Proposal of thesis idea to advisory committee
- Thesis research guided by advisory committee with regular meetings
- PhD minimum requirements: 2 papers in in journals with impact factor > 3
- Presentation of thesis to committee (within 5 years of proposal presentation)
- Oral defense
